Coffee for Everyday Tides
Sri Lanka’s central highlands are once again emerging as a strong environment for Arabica coffee — shaped by altitude, cooler temperatures, and consistent rainfall that suit quality coffee cultivation.
Coffee has a long history here. Once a major producer in the 19th century, Sri Lanka’s coffee industry declined after leaf rust devastated plantations in the 1860s. What remains today is smaller in scale, but more deliberate — centred around high-altitude regions such as Nuwara Eliya, Badulla, Kandy, and Matale, where conditions continue to favour Arabica.
High Tide Coffee begins with smallholder farmers working these landscapes with patience and discipline. We source locally, roast in Colombo, and focus on understanding the process better with each cycle — refining how Sri Lankan coffee is grown, processed, and roasted so its true character comes through clearly.
This is our way of contributing to Sri Lanka’s coffee resurgence.
By respecting its history, its environment, and the work behind every harvest.
